The body. It operates very much on a use it or lose it basis. It gets good at what you repeatedly do. If that is sitting down, then the body will get better at that. If that is walking, jumping, climbing then better walking jumping and climbing shall be your reward. I want to be the best. I'm not good enough for the team. That girl is better than me. Wow, that girl is so good, I could never be that good. These are all things we hear from time to time. They are also things that we work hard to reverse. Why get caught up with all these types of comparisons? Why not just go and have fun in gymnastics, try your best and learn as much as possible.
